We will be discussing the book Stolen Focus: Why You Can't Pay Attention And How to Think Deeply Again  by Johann Hari.

Many of us have noticed that our attention spans have changed (for the worse) in the past few years.  We will discuss how our attentions have changed, how our students' attentions have been impacted by COVID and technology, and what we can do to increase our ability to focus and attend.  Whether you read the book or not, join us!

Welcome to the NEALS  "Table Talk Discussion"

In 1999, a handful of learning specialists met around a dining table at the Hotchkiss School to connect, collaborate, and create what we know today at the Northeast Association of Learning Specialists.  In celebration of our upcoming 25th Anniversary, NEALS has decided to go back to our roots but with the technological twist of Zoom to help us expand our reach.

Each month, we will host an online facilitated discussion for our members and like minded professionals.  We welcome colleagues who are interested in supporting students.

Our table discussions will be held this academic year every first Wednesday of the month from 7 to 8 pm.
